We offer the Magazines in 3 sizes:

a) 2600mm high x 2400mm wide x 4400mm long weighing 12 ton
b) 2400mm x 2400mm x 2400mm weighing 7 ton
c) 1800 mm wide x 2100mm wide x 2100mm wide 4 ton

All the magazines we manufacture are a cost effective and time saving alternative to conventional construction.

Explosive storage magazines are designed to provide security for arms, ammunition and explosives.

Explosive storage magazines are fully engineered to provide the strength necessary to support the earth over and against the magazines. Engineer rating of 5kpa per square meter for the flat roof and 2kpa per square meter for the convex oval roof.

The option to bury the units or place mounds against the walls, reduces the explosives safety quantity distance arc and provide additional safety to neighbouring storage magazines.

Fully certified to  AS4678 earth retaining structures.

A specially designed convex roof was innovated especially for the pyrotechnics industry .

This roof is optional and focuses on providing a weakness at the highest arc, should there be an explosion, the week line in the roof will give way, crumble to small sized debris reducing the possibility of injury and damage.

Magazine shell is constructed of a 50mpa  with a high slump, low water content.  The concrete is mechanically vibrated, internal structural steel is welded as per AS1554 into a cage and suspended between steel moulds.

This process produces a glass like finish to the unit internally and externally ensuring there is no air entrapment in the concrete. This method also gives the assurance the magazine, along with adequate natural air ventilation, is fully moisture proof.

Note – Elevated temperature and moisture can affect the products over time, along with increasing the degradation and potential failure which may lead to an explosion.

·Hinge side protection prevents door from being defeated by removing hinge

·10mm thick steel door fitted with 3 bar locking device

·Full ventilation if storing ammunition and high level explosives  -  Basic air ventilation in front and rear of units for pyrotechnics industry and certain classifications of explosives (price difference)
·Complete with  full signage/markings as required.
·Earthing terminals fitted for lightning protection
·All steel painted with barrier rich paint, no opportunity for rust.
